and relax...

Owen settles into the new sofa. It took him quite some time (about 2.6 seconds) to move catherine off 'his' seat, get comfortable and settle in for teletubbies. He prefers it to the old one as there are more parking spaces on the arms for Peen, Doc, tacter, etc etc.

Owens' Holiday

Here's the visual highlights of Owens visit to Anny and Adad and Alyice. Much fun had by all, not least me and Catherine who spent two nice days not getting up early, tidying up, helping with meals, changing nappies etc.

A day on the farm

As a half term outing we took the boy down to a local farm. A good time was had by all, Owen loved the tractor and even sat on horse. Although realistically we can probably rule out a horses based job as he was not overly excited at the prospect of sitting on one.

An audience of one

I appreciate that even in the wide world of the internet there will be few people other than dad interested to know that I have now laid the sleeper inserts into the path. Nevertheless here's a photo of them, only a few bricks to go then we can break out the gravel.

Tantrums 101

1) Discover thing that you don't want to do (going for a sleep in this example)
2) Shout alot
3) Lie face down on nearest bit of floor
4) Keep shouting
5) Every so often, look up and check people are still watching. If they are, keep shouting, if not get up and walk off.

Goodbye to an old friend

Our Sofa is on the way out. We managed to get a suit for £60 from Bullers (Cricket). The old suit is now advertised in a variety of internet "free stuff" sites. If you want it - let us know. Here's a picture...
You would need to collect it as my car is not that big.

The last word

I know this is old hat now but I really love this kind of stuff. The New Scientist Last Word section on line is great, you can find it here. I always make a point of buying the latest releases of the books of the 'best of', mainly because I am too tight to subscribe to the magazine and unlike my little sister would understand little of it anyway...
