Monty Don
While watching Gardeners World with Owen he pointed out that Monty Don looks like he might be coming to the end of his GW shelf life. Owen suggested himself as a replacement and so the BBC asked us to take some test shots. Whilst they look great I am a little concerned that the plastic football might not be exactly the kind of thing they are looking for, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

False Advertising
Coventry transport museum had me all excited to see "The DeLorean", however, imagine my horror when on arrival it turned out to a "A DeLorean" - the difference between the "The" and the "A" being very significant in this case. The lack of FLux Capacitor and in an ideal world someone standing next to it saying "1.21 Jigawatts" made it a little dull. Although I would still like to own one, I think they look pretty cool and have great doors.
Soft Play
Owen at Jungle Junction at Coventry Sports centre. Good stuff - Climbing, Sliding, throwing etc etc etc.
Farewell spring training - hello real baseball
At last spring training draws to a close. The Sox look ok apart from some issues around the lower half of the starting rotation. Beckett, Dice-K, Wakefield, Lester pick themsleves, then it's Buckholz or Colon to cover for Schilling. Still, Manny looks interested this year being as his option comes up and he wants a pay day so he should be more consistently productive than last year. Vision box set for Sunday nights game and then linked for Josh/Jonny's twice weekly offerings. I can't wait. Bring on another world series.

World Beard Championship
Need I say more than the title to make you read this?
Check out the contestants at this years event: http://www.worldbeardchampionships.com/Gallery/gallery.html
I'd quite like to enter the freestyle mustache section. But respect to David Dade with his full "natural" beard.

Ridiculous
In order to post something to the council I was required to write out the longest address I have ever seen. Aside from the obvious ink related expenses and muscle fatigue in my index finger it took blinking ages. If anyone has seen or used a longer address I'd like to hear about it and possibly join forces with them to create the NLA (No Long addresses) We'd be exactly like the NRA - overly militant and mainly made up of extreme right wing red necks with an inflated sense of justice based on one sentence of a document written 200 years ago - but in relation to addresses.

The bible in a year
I'm currently reading the bible in a year, its quite interesting (apart from Liviticus which is all about burnt offerings, and even though I like a pig roast its a little repetitive). There is definitely a section about not building false idols and linking that to some basic history about towers built in babel (or is that too babel??) gave me and the boy the starting point for a challenge... lets build a big tower out of bricks. After knocking all my efforts down here is Owen's best attempt...

Not bad considering he had no help with it from me... I was trying to work out how to operate my phone camera - for the record never ever buy a XDA Graphite - they are terrible, I would even consider not getting one if they were free.
